Liquitex® Gloss Varnish is 100% acrylic polymer varnish that is water soluble when wet with good chemical and water resistance.
Hard, archival, non-yellowing.
Suitable for interior and exterior use.
Liquitex® Gloss Varnish is translucent when wet and clear when dry. Increases gloss, depth and intensity of colours once it is applied over.
Resists discolouring (non-yellowing, non-fogging) due to humidity, heat and ultraviolet light.

Published Thursday, 12 March 20265 out of 5I used it for gouache, specifically student grade pebeo. I know it’s not traditionally used for it but I wanted to see if it would work and it did! Make sure it’s dry and you could use fixative underneath if you want to be more cautious but with or without it, it works.
