Lykke Flight Interchangeable Cables - Standard Braided Steel Cords

Designed exclusively for the standard-size tips of the Lykke Flight interchangeable system, these Standard Braided Steel Cords deliver precision, durability and ease for your knitting.

Why knitters love them

Smooth, snag-free joins: The transition between cable and needle tip is seamless, letting stitches glide effortlessly - no catching, no slowing down.
Perfectly designed tips: Lykke Flight tips screw in securely and sit flush with the cord. Combined with the swivel mechanism, they give you total freedom of movement without loosening mid-knit.
Steel core strength, plastic-coated glide: These cables have a braided stainless steel core wrapped in a slick plastic coating - tough but flexible, with just the right amount of drape.
Built-in swivel: Each cord rotates at the join to eliminate twisting, coiling, and resistance as you work.
Balanced feel: Their subtle weight adds a premium feel to your knitting, grounding your hands without adding drag.

Compatibility

These Standard cables are meant for Lykke Flight tips in sizes 3.25mm and larger, they will also fit Lykke Driftwood & Cypra needles
Please note: the smaller mini-cable variants are required for the 2.00mm–3.00mm tip range. Click here for cables suitable for Mini sizes

FaQ: It says "with 3.5" tip", can I use this with 5" tips? - Yes! This only refers to the total length of the cable + tips, not compatibility.

Lengths available
These Standard Braided Cables come in a wide range of lengths, so you can choose the perfect fit for any project - from hats and sweaters to large shawls and blankets. Just pick the length that works best for your tip size and knitting style.

What’s in the pack
Each pack includes:

1 braided steel cord
2 cable stoppers
1 tightening key - everything you need to hook up your interchangeable tips and start knitting seamlessly.

Best for

Any project using the standard-sized Lykke Flight tips (3.25mm and above) where you want reliable, smooth movement and a high-quality cable feel

Projects where you’re using longer cable reaches (e.g., shawls, large circumference knitting) and want to avoid the limitations of thinner or flimsier cords
