Beth Russell Jackfield Rose - Tapestry Kit

Jackfield Rose In 1883 George Maw set up a factory at Ironbridge in Shrophire to produce a range of ceramic tiles including this beautiful design. Beth Russell has remained true to the original, but has added a geometric border. The original tiles are now in the Jackfield Tile Museum in Shropshire. Because of the difficulties in printing perfectly straight lines onto canvas, the border pattern comes as a chart.

CANVAS: 14#/in (5.5#cm) Zweigart White de luxe, 18x18'. DESIGN: 14 x14' (37x37cm)
WOOLS: Appleton crewel, 12 Colours. STITCH: Tent stitch worked with three threads
CHART: For border.
